Essential Oil Content and Components in Different Purple Basil Genotypes According to the Diurnal Changes
نویسندگان
چکیده
In the present study diurnal variations in plant parts of different purple basil genotypes were determined. Three (Arapgir, Piros and Midnight) used as material. Plants harvested at 06:00, 12:00, 18:00 00:00 hrs to determine variation within a day harvesting time. Essential oil ratio among genotypes, times varied between 0.46- 0.95%, 0.60 0.92% 0.14-1.29%, respectively. ratios triple interactions found range from 0.05 2.57%. The major essential was linalool all genotypes. Results showed that higher can be obtained dry flowers Arapgir genotype also, Midnight contained content than others. Bangladesh J. متن کاملEvaluation of Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) Essential Oil Content and Yield under Different Plant Densities and Nitrogen Levels
A study was conducted to investigate the effect of different planting densities and nitrogen doses on essential oil content and yield in herb and leaves of basil (Ocimum basilicum L.). The research was conducted during 2007 and 2008 using split-plot randomized complete block design with four replications. The experiment consisted of four plant densities (30×20, 40×20 and 50×20 cm) as the main p...

Background: Nitrogen is the most important nutrient requirement for plants. Nitrogen supplying affected the leaf area, carbon fixation, glandular trichomes formation, ATP and NADPH content which resulted to the terpenoids biosynthesis enhancement and essential oils accumulation. Objective: This study was aimed to evaluate changes of essential oil content and components by use different levels ...
متن کاملEvaluation of Oil Content and Fatty Acid Composition in Seeds of Different Genotypes of Safflower
Evaluation of four safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) genotypes for oil content and fatty acidcomposition showed that oil content varied from 22.16 to 34.39% and the highest seed oilcontent was obtained from Isfahan14 genotype (34.39%, respectively). Among those fatty acidswere detected, linoleic acid (75.81- 77.86%) was the predominant fatty acid followed by oleic(12.57–13.75%), palmitic (6.0...
